PROJECT RUNWAY FASHION SHOW REVIEW...

So last thursday i went to the project runway show, the season's finale, and happened to be sitting in the front row at Alicia Keys's seat. Ok, i have to say we got lucky ;). It was really nice to see the collections from upfront. Some of the designs were pretty nice, some were interesting, and some funny. I have to say that in the most part i was very disappointed in the use of their accessories. I'm a jewelry designer and that's the first thing i always look at, jewels and accessories. These are the pieces that give a finishing touch to the clothing. About the shoes.... I have to say they could do better, or maybe they could try to find shoes that would actually fit the models. Ok I know i'm being a little picky here but i think this show was a very important show for all of the finales and maybe they could have paid a little more attention to the details!

Wild Night !

Introducing "The Wild Night" !

When i was making this piece i was inspired by Lanvin's new feather pieces. I wanted to make a big feathered necklace so when you wear it it's as if you are wearing a shirt! I wish you didn't have to wear anything underneath it :). I wore this Necklace to the season finale of the project runway and happened to be sitting at Alicia Keys seat in the front row!! The cameras were everywhere on top of us, i really cant wait to see the season's finale just to see if i can see the Wild Night in there or not!

The Wild Night also caught a lot of attention on fashion night out, when a group of teenage kids surrounded me and asked me where i got my SHIRT!! I told them it's not a shirt it's a necklace and i made it. The business cards started flying out of my bag!!

It feels good when you are walking on Madison Ave and you see people turning their heads and talking about your necklace.....
